Our dog is a 12 lbs. (~5 kg.) chihuahua / min pin mix; so I ordered the large green one. Before that, we had one of the more conventional-looking pet carriers, but the mesh and the handle ripped within a few months, and we decided to not bother fixing it and threw it away.
We have been using this shoulder pet carrier about a month now, and unlike the previous one, it is still in a new-like condition. I am surprised to note the absence of any major loose threads – the craftsmanship is almost impeccable, especially for the price. The top part is mesh, so it is aerated, and our god does not get too hot; the rest is PVC. The bottom is lined with sponge for more comfort.
The zipper is secured with a velcro strap.
This carrier is also equipped with the hook for the collar.
The shoulder strap isn’t very adjustable (the difference won’t be more than a couple of inches), but the bag fits ok both on me (6.1″) and my girlfriend (5.3″).
I also use this bag when I need to take the dog on short rides on my motorcycle – she loves it! Especially in contrast to the previous bag we had, which was secured to the top case with bungee cords and cargo net, where she was stuffed in a confined space, and was seemingly reluctant to get inside each time we went anywhere. With this bag she jumps in right away, and has the happiest grin when we ride around. So if you are looking for a motorcycle pet carrier, this may be a good option.
